Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using quotecard.app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You sign in using a one-time code sent to your email; you are responsible for keeping access to that email secure and for activity under your account.

3. The Service

QuoteCard lets you create and download quote graphics. We offer a free plan with limited exports and paid plans with higher limits, as described on our pricing page. We may change, improve, or discontinue features over time.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the text and designs you create ("Your Content"). You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to any quotes, names, images, or material you include. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service (for example, processing your designs in your browser). You must not create content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Do not use the Service to break the law or infringe others' rights.
• Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, billing, or security controls.

6. Subscriptions, billing & renewals

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• Prices are shown on the pricing page and may be exclusive of applicable taxes. We may change prices, with notice for renewals.
• You can manage, switch, or cancel your plan at any time through the billing portal in your account.

7. Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel at any time; your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which you move to the Free plan. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds for partial periods.

8. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, branding, and the QuoteCard name and logo — belongs to us and is protected by law. These terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than to use it as permitted.

9. Third-party services

We rely on third parties (including Supabase, Stripe, Resend, and Vercel) to provide the Service. Your use may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service unlawfully.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
