1. Who we are

QuoteCard, a service operated by Cascade Capital Asset Management Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"), provides an online tool for creating and downloading quote graphics, available at quotecard.app. For any privacy questions, contact us at hello@quotecard.app.

2. The information we collect

• Account information — your email address, which you use to sign in via a one-time code, and a display name derived from it.
• Usage information — counts of the exports you create and the plan limits applied to your account, so we can operate your subscription.
• Subscription & payment information — your plan, billing interval, and subscription status. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Referral information — your referral code and records of referrals, where you use that feature.
• Content you create — the text and design choices for the quote cards you make. These are generated in your browser; we do not store the finished images on our servers.
• Technical information — standard server and security logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) generated when you use the service.

3. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and sign you in.
• To provide the editor, apply plan entitlements, and track usage against your plan.
• To process subscriptions, payments, renewals, and cancellations.
• To send you essential service emails, such as your login codes and billing notices.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

We rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), consent (where you opt in to something specific), and legal obligation (for example, keeping records required by law).

5. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted processors who handle data on our behalf, only to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your account data.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — sending transactional emails such as your login codes.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

6. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, email hello@quotecard.app. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage and authentication cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.

10. Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers and industry-standard measures to protect your data. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

11. Children

QuoteCard is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "last updated" date above.
